My love for beads started with my Baba making me seedbead necklaces when I was a little girl. When my Baba passed away the only thing I took was a coffee tin full of beads. I have been designing jewelry since I was 14 years old.
And when I was 25 realized that what I wanted to be when I grew up which was a jewelry designer. It only took me a gazillion odd jobs to learn that.
In
2000, I took my first lampwork bead course and it has been my obsession
ever since.
By the way I still have the coffee tin of beads, some of the beads have changed but the passion is still there. In September 2005 (4 days after my son was born) we moved from Fort McMurray Alberta to Olds Alberta.
And in 22 months after that we moved to Cold Lake ,Alberta. Where we live now.
This is what my studio in Cold Lake looks like right now. Roy just built me the cool shelving for my glass rods. I am quite proud of him.
This is how my studio looked in Olds when we just moved into the house. I have come a long way.
Classes I have taken: Kerri Fuhr February 2010 in Edmonton. Sherry Bellamy January 2009, in Edmonton.
