February 2007 Feb 03, 07 Night,Night
Sometimes I do things I am probably not ready for but I do
them anyway to see what happens. I guess
that is a good thing or I would have no life at all. So my latest adventure is: I am doing a
Bridal & Grad Gala in our town. This
is a formal event which posses a problem for me already because I am not a
formal person and now I am really stretching myself.
The show will be February 25, 2007 from 1pm to 7pm at the
Olds College- Student Alumni centre.
And if you are interested in coming I know there is an admission I just
can’t remember how much.
Roy
so far has that day off unless he starts his new job and then I will be totally
screwed because what do I do with Quinton?
A cute Quinton story:
He does not have many words that he says but I know that they must be in
him. When we were at Roy’s Parents place it was 9pm and Quinton
barely slept all day and was over tired.
Well I put him down and he just refused to go to bed so I finally broke
down and went into the room to cuddle him. So I laid him on the bed beside me and he kept
rolling around and then leaning against me for “kisses”. Finally after 10 minutes of this, he rolled over,
said “night, night”, grabs his teddy and his thumb and went to sleep on my
arm.
Hey when all his says is “mom” “dad” and “uh-uh” to saying
“night, night” for a one time deal to me, I just wanted to laugh and cry at the
same time. He does know words but
refuses to use them at this time. The little stinker.
The weather has been very cold here, not as cold as northern
Alberta but
cold enough. So I have been only
torching for about an hour a day, which is not a lot when you are doing certain
beads. I have some bunnies I will try
clean later today and hopefully get pictures up tomorrow.

Feb 04th, 07 midnight wake ups
The last couple of days Quinton has been
waking up in the middle of the night which I am not use to anymore. So by 6pm,
I am ready for a nap. Today though he did look at me and say "HI" so
I could not be made at him for the wake up call. H*** it is hard to stay mad at
him no matter what he does.
I did take pictures of the bunny beads I
made and listed them for sale in "beads"
but I never realized how hard it would be to take pictures of white beads. So I
realize I will have to practise more to figure that out.
It is 11:30pm and I figure I better go to
bed just in case Quinton does a repeat performance of the 5 am wake up call.

6th, 07 sucky work
Here I thought the husband was going to
the Wednesday to Friday off and then he tells me that he has been scheduled to
work it. Well Dude I would like some time to torch and work on the website
before you leave. And Quinton has discovered that he only needs an hour nap in
the moring now.
Please email me on what you think of the contest page because I personally hate
it and may scrape it by the end of the week.
Feb 10th,
houses
well we looked
at 6 houses today and the one we really like is the one with the offer on it.
So that totally sucks. The weather is a little nippy here but it will have to
do. Nothing like living in Southern alberta to
spoil you for winter weather.
Feb 07th,
contest page
I have decided to end how I started the
Febraury contest page because I do not like it and like the old way so much
more. Where a person got to vote and all they had to do was write the word of
the day. Mind you I may try this when we are in the month that we move because
I will want time to pack and find a new internet company, (we use shaw and they
are not in Cold Lake). And all those other fun things. But
that will not be until later.
Today was cold and it is suppose to be
getting colder, but it is not as cold as Cold Lake
is. Why are we moving from this climate. This is the warmest place we have
lived so far. In Fort McMurray
the coldest day with wind chill was -40 Celius.
So here -10 Celius is beautiful weather to me(even if I still have to wear a
touque).
Went swimming today, the group of moms
keeps getting smaller so we have do something to expand our group so that it
will not disappear completely.
Tomorrow Roy has a doctors app. So I may not have to
take Quinton when I go work out. There are some moms here that get together
with the kids underfoot to do aerobics. I must be the most uncordinated person.
I had the same problem doing yoga so once I got the moves figured out, I would
go at a different pace then the other people. Yeah I do keep up but when they
are going down, I am going up and their right is my left. I think the
instructors don't like to see me coming in because I throw them off their grove.
Feb 12th, cold
This week is a fun and busy week of lots and lots of driving. And the weather
is COLD so driving is so much fun.
It is the month of alot of snow to shovel and being cold. We got home late
yesterday. And today I am trying to clean some of the house because we have
another real estate agent coming in to do an assestment on the house. We are
not to sure when we will list it but Roy
looks to get this job and it will have to happen for sure then.
Feb 14th, valentine
Well today is swimming and running to red
deer for a bed frame, tomorrow is areobics and
hopefully seeing the mortage broker. Then this weekend I am taking Quinton to Edmonton to go to the
gift show and the bead class I signed up for. Roy
is to start his new job on the 5th in Cold Lake
and we still have to find time to buy a house with him there and me here. I
don't want to move there until we know where we are living. I really don't want
to live 6 months out of boxes again. That really sucked.
We have no plans for valentines day just maybe the bed frame which may not be
romantic to anyone else but we have never owned a bed with a head board. A new
piece of furniture that is probably the 6th new piece we have because
everything else is 2nd and 3rd hand. Which is not a bad thing let me tell you,
but after a while you do want some furniture to match or at complement each
other and we DON'T have that.
Feb 15th, thrive
Just because I had to look up the word thrive and make sure I had the
right meaning, I figured it would be a good word for the day.
Yesterday Quinton had the hiccups so I told him that he should get some
socks to stop them. And he went into his bedroom and brought out
clean socks.
So he may not be saying a lot but he is understanding more of what I say to him then I realize.
Feb 18th , 2007 Edmonton
Quinton and I are off to Edmonton today for a couple of days. He
will be thrilled to see the dogs because we don't have any and my
parents have 3. And hopefully we will get to see the cousins
along with everyone else. Usually we are just making quick trips
at my parents house so I don't get to see any of the other family.
I will get back to you by thursday.
Quinton
is sick today and I hope it goes away because we are to be going to
edmonton this coming week for the wholesale show and a class I signed
up for.
Feb
22nd, time out
Yes, I need a timeout. So Quinton and I had a good time at the parents place.
On the 19th I went to Edmonton
to take a evening class I signed up for and was told it is being moved to March
sometime. Thanks for calling me and telling me. Oh my name is not on the
classes I signed up for great considering I paid for them and I emailed the
person about the classes and then called them that day to pay for them.
Nothing like wasting all the time driving to the class which is an hour and a
half from my parents place. And if I was leaving right from my house, 3 hours.
So needless to say I am upset and need a time out.
Today I need to wash my table cloths and start packing for the Bridal show I am
doing this Sunday.
And the weather is a little chiller here. So I have not been torching but
making jewelry for the show.
Feb 23re, tottering
Next week I plan on adding new items to the site. I want to do the bridal show
first so that it will give me an idea of what I will add to the site. I also
plan on making a week of torching to get some work done.
Quinton yesterday discovered that he can put things in the toliet and my socks
were the items he used. So now we will have to really keep an eye on him.
Feb 25th. birthday
Doing the bridal show today from 1pm to 7pm and I am a little concerned because
I work the shows by myself and at this place there is to be no food or drinks
in the building. So yeah what to do about the no drinking for all that time.
And yes , It is my Birthday. and no i really have no idea how old I am, I know
how old I think I am and I am going with that.
Feb 27th,
The Bridal show went well and even though they said the show went until 7pm
they told the exhibitors that they could leave at 6:30pm (hey this is a small
community). I personally did not mind because I was tired by then.
This week is going to be exhausting yet again because we are going up to Cold Lake to
drop off some of Roys
things he will need before he starts work next week.
I personally just want to stay home but that is not going to happen. So I
promised myself, with Quinton included, once we are home from this trip that we
will not do any far travelling until the 15 of March.
Well it is 8am and the kid will be up soon so I better get to house cleaning.

Feb 28th, brighten
Well it is midnight so I thought I would just say hi. Looks like the day will
be long because it looks like we are taking another field trip.
So I am hoping that the homes will be better for us and if we do find one that
we will sell our home quickly. They keep saying that the housing market is
going to drop soon but we have not seen anything here that is telling us other
wise.
Here to hoping for a better day to brighten my mood.
