Welcome to my site.
I am a Canadian glass bead maker and jewelry designer.
My site has beads that I have made and jewelry I have designed using my own glass beads, semiprecious stones, bought glass beads and sterling silver and other metals.
I also make a lot of jewelry with just semiprecious stones and sterling silver.
My pieces for sale will tell you the beads I use so that you will know what to expect.
All my prices are in Canadian funds. Pay with 
August 25th
The summer is ending so quickly and Quinton goes to kindergarten the 8th or 9th of September. Everyone keeps asking what will I do with all the free time? Are you crazy??? there is Ronan who will not have a brother to pick on and when I sent Quinton to camp to see if he could handle a full day, I barely had time to do very much before it was time to pick him up. Maybe once both boys are in school.
On the 21st I took the boys and my mother-in-law to Smoky Lake to a 70th birthday party for my aunty. There had to have been about 50 or 60 of us and most of us brought food so it looked like a ukrainian spread. And there were lots of leftovers to take home, yum. I got to see aunts and uncles and cousins and friends I have not seen in a long time and if was for a happy occasion.
What do you get someone who is 70? Well there was some bingo things because she is a bingo player and lots of scratch and wins(hope she wins some good money) and other little nicky nacks but not too much because lets face it she has 70 years of items in her house and we want to pleasantly add to the collection not make it become out of control.
Still have not stained or put up blinds in our new windows, because Roy is working so it would be my job and I am a slacker when it comes to house work. I did paint the spot the gentlemen had to drywall when they ripped out the bay window and cracked the wall. And when we were getting the windows, we planned on the same stain as the old windows had but now that the windows are done and the light trim is up, we are talking about keeping it light so that the house is not as dark. Now only if we were as ambitious as Carrie of Beadtree who has remodeled their house and it looks awesome with the pictures she took.
this coming weekend on the base is a fundraiser Race the Base , this is the TRAILER I am thinking of taking the boys to see it, they may not be impressed but I will be.
Have I ever talked about the casual baker? She is the only person who helped me make puff wheat squares actually stick together. I like going on her site and trying to make some of the recipes, my next attempt will be the zuchini cake with lemon glaze(because I have so many zuchinis from mom) and the moreos because I have not bought cookies in a long time.
August 14th
Fort McMurray was a blast even with the crazy weather. On Friday the 6th they shut down early because of the crazy thunderstorm. On saturday it rained about 6pm and then it was good and sunday was hot but then again every afternoon that weekend the weather was stinking hot.
I got to see some old friends and acquaintances and make meet new people which/whom I hope to see again.
I came home Monday to have the guys arrive to start installing our windows. I never realized how much went into it because I just thought you take one window out and slide another in. Kinda but you have to remove the old moulding around the windows, clean the area, put the new window in, level it, fill it with insulation, cap the outside, fill insulation on the inside and put on new trim and fill nail holes. They had started Monday and finished today. In their defence we did get rain practically everyday and the bay window they had to replace was higher then the guy knew about so that took over a day to finish completely.
And now we have to stain the trim and put back whatever blinds will fit.
So I never got to the torch because they were cutting wood in the garage entrance and sawdust does not go well with molten glass. ANd the boys stuck to me like glue once I got home, like glue.
And now tomorrow I am taking the boys to Edmonton so that I can do a little shopping on Monday and steal blueberries my mother has been picking.
So much for the summer being slower. Quinton starts school soon too and who knows what time I will have then but I am going to squeeze in all I can and I have pieces to add to the site for sale. Oh where is the time?
